What a week -- the weather has been warm and sunny.
We are soaking up the sun for the winter ahead, while finishing last tasks in the field and harvesting. The fruit trees in the orchard have their guards to protect them from gnawing rodents over the winter, beds are cleared and covered, the final asparagus are planted, a bed of flowers is now in the field. The flowers are for the birds and the bees (and all the other insects) that are essential for a healthy ecosystem. And we'll get to enjoy their beauty.
Plus, we've been able to keep harvesting! I hope you enjoy the late season bounty!
