How I raise the geese
The goslings were all hatched on my family’s farm. Some were hatched by the geese and some were hatched by me in an incubator (built by me and a friend). The geese have been on pasture their whole lives. They are moved every few days so that they have new grass to eat. I also feed them some grain. They play an important role on our farm helping to improve pastures. I have several breeds, including Toulouse, Emden and Saddleback.
Butchering
The geese will be processed at Schefter Poultry Processing near Harriston. Their facility is government inspected.
Ordering
Please order by November 1st to reserve your goose.
Please let me know if you would like a small, medium or large goose and if you would like the heart and liver included. We expect that they will weigh about 7 to 11lb.
Pick up
Please pick up on Friday, November 3 in the evening. I will have preciser timing soon.
If you can’t come on Friday evening, we’ll figure something out.
Price
$12/lb
So the bigger the goose, the more it will cost.
Tour
I will offer a tour on Saturday, November 4th at 10 am and 1pm. The tour will show where the geese lived and how I raised them. The tour is only for customers.
Payment
You can pay with cash, cheque or e-transfer.
