Sweet relief!
After almost 3 weeks without rain, Sunday night brought a few gentle showers and the forecast calls for cooler temperatures this coming week! It was challenging last week to complete critical tasks in the scorching heat.
We are into the last few weeks of planting for autumn -- the last rounds of kohlrabi, turnip, bok choi, radish, arugula, mixed greens, lettuce, spinach and rapini are being planted and seed now until the middle of August. The days are growing short -- August 1st marks the halfway point between the summer solstice and autumn equinox. Change is in the air!
