Farm Happenings for September 2, 2019
We did some marathon fall planting Friday. A new round of broccoli, collards and kale are in the ground and I seeded carrots, arugula, salad mix, radishes, bok choy, turnips, beets and rutabagas.

The picture shows the crew planting broccoli plants. You have to plant by late August to get a crop before it gets too cold in November. The white stuff you see on the plants is kaolin clay. That helps them with heat stress and deters some pests like aphids and flea beetles. 1 read more »
