One of the main reasons that I wanted to farm was so that I could be more involved in the lives of my kids. My wife and I have been blessed with three boys and one little girl, and although parenting is never easy, it is a blessing to be around them every day. The farm provides a great environment for them to learn, play, work, and develop life skills and character.
Just yesterday several of the boys came up to the garden and helped me with picking peppers, mowing grass, planting beans and tomatoes, installing irrigation, and pruning tomatoes! And they loved it! They still have their home-school and home-chores and lots of dirty boy play time! Just now they came in from playing in the rain and are soaking wet and happy!
