It's hot! Summer is here and production is in full swing. Weeds also seem to grow overnight, as well as the grass, and we have to be very focused to keep everything running smoothly.
It is a hard balance to find trying to get out to the garden early yet get enough sleep where we have the right amount of energy to work. This week we are trying out waking up without an alarm when the sun rises since last week we struggled with lack of sleep. We'll see how it goes! I love coming in for lunch at noon, taking a shower and changing into shorts and a tee shirt and enjoying some time with the family and doing office work before heading back to the field mid-afternoon.
