Hey Everyone!
My fingers are finally thawing out from planting garlic out in the cold! Our first real cold front of the year is officially here. Winter produce is some of the best and sweetest, even though production is less. The cold weather brings out the natural sugars in the carrots, greens, and other crops.
The main delivery season for our Farmship is over until the spring, but we will still be making products available for home delivery all winter through our online Farmstand program. Our Farmstand program allows you to purchase one-time boxes through emails you receive on the weeks we offer them. The reason we will use Farmstand in the winter is because we don't always have enough produce in the winter to fill the required weekly inventory for all the normal Farmship shares. But the Farmstand allows us to offer the inventory we have each week on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the month of December we plan to offer Farmstand deliveries the 3rd, 16th, and 31st. We will continue with the Farmstand through the first several months of 2021 and plan to start back our normal weekly Farmship deliveries of your membership shares beginning in March or April.
Next week we plan to butcher our fall batch of pastured meat chickens and look forward to making those available all winter!
