We are all so grateful for the warmer weather here on the farm! It has allowed us to get started on the farm in earnest and we have that spring planting urge. This week we will also have some ground beef from my in-laws. We just got some more from them since we had been sold out since last year. In addition we will be offering our popular tortillas this week too!
Here on the farm we treat the soil as a living system, and do everything we can to honor the amazing way God designed the soil to work. We do this primarily by disturbing the soil as little as possible, keeping a mulch on the ground, and making and adding living compost to the growing beds. It is amazing how much better it is when you let the soil work the way it was intended to! Soil microbes unlock nutrients in the soil which in turn make more nutrients available to the plants and create more nutrient dense foods for you!
