I can currently hear the rain falling outside and feel the cool breeze from the outer bands of the hurricane. Our prayers are with those who are affected by the severe parts of the storm. For us the rain is a welome relief from the dry and heat of the last few weeks. August is a tough month in the garden with all the summer weather and bugs. We are really grateful for all the okra, beans, tomatoes, peppers, kale, and other summer veggies that are still sticking it out, but we are looking forward to all the fall crops as we prep for and plant them. We can't wait until we can start bringing you carrots, salad, beets, spinach, collards, and more again! We are also scheduled to process some more chickens in a couple of months and plan to cut them up so we will have more packs of chickens breasts, legs, thighs, wings, and all the other cuts that are so popular.
