Last week we planted garlic using our transplanter (which usually gets used for young plants!)
This week's veggies: The cranberries we are getting from James Lake Farms, and are certified organic. If you would like more than just the pint we are utilizing as the basic unit, you can order more from the farm stand, or swap for more! Sweet potatoes will last longer if we don't wash them, so we are trying that for for this delivery. New this week are the traditional purple-top turnips, traditionally part of a Thanksgiving meal. Then the usual carrots, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, etc. Also a small surprise in this week's tote!
Late again! Sorry for the delay in getting this out -- since it will get quite cold tonight, I decided i wanted to actually have some of the items harvested that were to go onto this week's list, to make sure I had them, instead of listing them today, and then not noticing till tomorrow the damage that Jack Frost had wrought on them, and having to communicate to you that we didn't have them, and figuring out what a substitute could be. (We did get the Brussels sprouts inside, so we have them for sure! Celery we didn't get to, and might suffer some freezing damage with the lows predicted in the low 20's.)
Storage share to come in 3 weeks: Mostly the same items, though the overall quantity will be somewhat largerl You can still sign up for it if you haven't already.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
