The sun’s been shining, and the tomatoes are responding with lots of fruit! This week on the farm stand we have several pecks of paste tomatoes: Roma, San Marzano, and Amish Paste. Their meaty flesh is great for making sauce to eat fresh or to can or freeze for winter.
We have plenty of other tomatoes on the stand, too, including heirlooms, regular red tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes. Plus beets, green and wax beans, red raspberries, sweet peppers, garlic, kale, and fresh herbs. Also local honey and our own farm eggs, grassfed beef, and blueberry, raspberry and strawberry jam.
