Spring has sprung, but planting in the gardens has been slowed by a record amount of rain this month! Our soil has lots of clay, which holds the moisture for a long time and delays tilling. Ron has managed to plant radishes, lettuce, and arugula in the small early garden that has better drainage. In a few weeks we should have those items for sale on the farm stand.
In the meantime, the indoor seedlings are growing well—onions, kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and peppers. This week we will seed the tomatoes.
Our farm stand continues to have plenty of eggs, jam, and our own grass-fed beef. Also local honey from Mullet Apiaries. If you have trouble ordering, email us or text Mary at 740-522-9877. Enjoy the spring weather!
