Whew, that summer crops are going crazy after the heat. We planted three successions of summer squash, and this week the third one came on and now all three are producing-- yikes! Every cucumber succession is currently fruiting. Our regular season tomatoes are ripening, cucumbers are going for it, and the basil is out of control. It's an exciting time of year, and boy are we looking forward to picking it in more mild temperatures this week. Even the frogs were taking to any nook of shade they could find this past week-- I couldn't even coax this one away from the zucchini I was trying to pick.
We wish you a week of lovely weather, and good eats!
