Farm Stand is back as our fall crops pick up steam. This week is the last true week of 'summer' on the farm, though it feels like fall. We've been busy harvesting our winter squash, which you'll see available in the coming weeks. This week we are celebrating the last week of many heirloom tomatoes and strawberries, and welcoming the first spinach and salad turnips back onto our harvest lists.
As the cool days (and nights) set in, our warm loving crops slow down production, which is good because now is the time to plant for winter in our hoophouses. We harvest hardy greens well into the winter for our restaurants and grocers (check Central Oregon Locavore out this winter if you're missing our greens!), and these plants need the remaining days with adequate light and warmth to get growing. It can be sad to see summer crops go, but they're tired at this point and we welcome a new beginning.
To place your order, choose your produce to fill your box ($22 Minimum order, the same as our Small CSA share), click the cart icon in the top right, and then check out.
