The dark days are closing in on us, and so comes the end of our CSA program for the year. There are two pickups remaining, this and the following Thursday, and then we end our Fall Shares before everyone gets busy with Thanksgiving plans.
If you are sad to see you weekly veggie infusion go, we highly recommend you come to Fill Your Pantry Market this Saturday from 11am-3pm at the Fairgrounds. We sent out a more detailed email to all our members earlier, check it out! This is a great place to stock up on root and storage veggies in bulk quantities, at a good price to get you through the winter.
This week we've got the first of our Baby Kale mix for the season, and a last planting of bunched radishes. For our weekly squash, we have Spaghetti squash-- a nice way to mix up your squash consumption as it's so different from any others. We prefer to eat our spaghetti squash in soups or as a side. Here's a favorite herby-cheesy side recipe from one of my long time favorite food blogs. Spaghetti squash stores well for a few months, so just keep an eye on it to make sure it isn't developing any soft spots if you don't eat it right away.
Happy cooking,
Ashley, Caleb and the Sungrounded Crew
