We're in our annual June heat wave. I'm not going to sugar coat it: it makes farming hard. But this crew busted it out with no complaints and we got a ton done. We only quit early one day and went and sat in the creek. Jason and I have been around long enough to know this is pretty normal, although above 100 degrees is a bit extreme, and that it will cool back down to 90 soon. But do you know what loves this heat? Okra and eggplant! They're positively thriving (while the humans wilt a bit). But we're working to keep hydrated, cool our core body temperatures down in the evenings, and eating lots of popsicles! We tackle projects as a team to keep morale up, and we just.keep.farming. Thanks for supporting us in this!
