Wow. It really is summer.
This heat is great for out tropical plants like tomatoes, eggplant and peppers which need it in order to grow, set fruit and ripen.
During this week we started fieldwork earlier in the morning and stayed out of the sun in the afternoon. We picked bins and bins of vegetables for you like zucchini and cucumbers which need to be picked every other day.
On the Fourth, we took some time off, griledl some organic, grass-fed burgers and enjoyed family. We hope you enjoyed your holiday with good relationships and good food. Make a great picnic salad with your veggies. This is one of my favorite salads using summer squash and basil.
