Farmer Reuben wants you to enjoy more variety of spring vegetables and herbs just before summer officially begins: beets, peas, broccoli, parsley and chocolate mint are in shares this week.
You'll notice that some high value vegetables are available as EXTRAS this week. We want those who have farm credit from Refer A Friend or Early Renewal to be able to use their credit easily to get extra of the popular vegetables without using Farm Stand to make an additional order. This is a great week to get extra veggies to make something special: ferment your kohlrabi, make kimchi, freeze greens, pickle beets, etc.
Farmer Reuben says that summer squash will be ready soon as well. That means we are starting to pick vegetables that keep producing from the same plants day after day.
Strawberry season is almost over but you can keep enjoying it when you add our homemade, organic Strawberry Preserves to your delivery this week. Order from extras every week to get more local farm food delivered to you.
