We are back to picking your vegetables after being away for a long weekend. We enjoyed time camping in upstate New York. The kids especially love walking around Lake George and seeing the tour boats.
First thing Monday morning Farmer Reuben and Simeon went out to pick the tatsoi and bok choi. In the afternoon everyone went out to help pick beans. We got about 3 tenths of an inch of rain here while we were gone but the ground is still dry. We are looking forward to some fall rains soon, now that summer is done.
Fall will also bring a hard frost that will cause our summer crops to die. Enjoy these until then: sweet peppers, okra, tomato, and eggplant.
