Fall Farm Stand

We are so excited for this Fall season! I hope you enjoy all of the options available in this week's farm stand! 

From the Field This Week

We are adding bunches of both purple daikon radishes and scallions to the share inventory this week. I think these purple daikon are one of the most beautiful vegetables that we grow! I also love eating them raw, roasted, or as a pickle. Here’s an easy recipe that I use for the daikon+carrot pickles. You don’t even have to use carrots, the daikon still have a great taste on their own. I love pairing roasted roots with a side of sour cream and fresh dill! 

Add-ons

We also found a second regenerative farm, Greener Pastures to provide the same high quality eggs as we get from 3 Board Farm! 3 Board Farm is always our number one choice for eggs, but it’s also important to make sure that everyone who wants eggs in their farm share can get them! 

I’m going to add different jams every week. This week you can add pear/honey jam, mayhaw watermelon jam, muscadine watermelon jam, and blackberry pear jam. I'm also adding pickles, marinara sauce, and elderberry syrup. 

Next Week

We could see the return of the colorful bunches of daikon radishes. I’m really keeping an eye on a variety of fast growing baby carrots. I’m hoping they will be ready for Thanksgiving.
