The eclipse is tomorrow, so that is going to have a bit of an impact on this week's shares. I will be traveling to Arkansas today for the solar spectacle, so I'm opening up the shares today since I won't be at the farm tomorrow. We have been planting all weekend before the rain starts, and I am behind on getting out of town, so the happening this week will be short and sweet!
What's Fresh This Week?
- Salad Turnips
- Sugar Snap Peas *We did not grow purple ones this season.
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Louisiana Strawberries
- Microgreens!
Limited Harvest
- Napa Cabbage
- Fresh Mint
- Lettuce Mix
- Stir Fry Packs
Farm Update:
-We will not have oyster mushrooms for the next two weeks. Farmer Lacey is dealing with some contamination issues on the last crop she started and she had to throw them all out and start over. Give her a few weeks and she will be back with more amazing mushrooms!
-Cherry tomatoes are available from south Louisiana, and we can pick them up at the same time as strawberries. So, we will have cherry tomatoes available each week as long as we are going to get strawberries, or until our tomatoes start producing. We have been sourcing them for Local Market on Line, and I can say that these are delicious tomatoes! *Container used is a recycled strawberry container. Tomatoes will be packaged in cardboard, open tubs.
