Hello all,
The summer harvest continues: beans, fresh garlic, fresh onions, and okra comin' in hot! Tomatoes and peppers will be here before we know it. Melons and cantaloupes are growing beautifully as well.
Last week, our crew worked hard to bunch and hang our signature garlic in our upper barn. We have cultivated and saved seed from this variety since year 1 here on the college farm. Our hard neck garlic will cure in the barn for a few weeks before we start to trim away the stalk leaving the more recognizable bulbs. We will then select some of the best bulbs to use for seed for next year.
