Its really hard to believe we are at week 10 of our Spring/Summer CSA. This week is the last delivery at the Thursday Eat South location and next Saturday will be #10 for those who pick up at Farm.
Yesterday I was headed out to close up the chicken coop for the night and was thrilled to see the figs are starting to ripen. We are adding them to this weeks offering and hoping we will have enough ready for everyone. If for some reason we do not we will fill Eat South shares first since this is their last delivery, we will double up on next Saturday delivery. We will also be sending out emails over the next few weeks with available produce that can be ordered and details on pick up.
2020 started out unlike any other growing year! We had a very pleasant and longer than usual Spring, which was so enjoyable. Covid 19 turned our lives upside down with the fear of unknown, quarantine, social distancing, and challenged us to get produce to our CSA families in a safe and efficient way. We implemented our drive thru delivery and with your help and cooperation it truly has gone pretty smooth. We appreciated your patients while we worked out the kinks and made the pick-up routine more efficient. Unfortunately it is still uncertain how the Covid 19 virus will be effecting our community in the coming weeks and when we start our Fall Session, but we will continue to adapt and put safety first for our CSA members and staff.
We are finalizing our Fall Session details and will be getting that information to you very soon. All current CSA members will automatically be on Fall CSA member list unless you have opted out. If your not sure please log into your Harvie account and check on your status.
