Welcome to our new members, and welcome back to returning members for our Spring 2021 CSA season! Deliveries will come every other week on Wednesday (March 31, April 14 & 28, and May 12 & 25). Pittsburgh members please note the change of day for the Spring season. Summer delivery to the Pittsburgh area will move back to Thursdays in June.
This email shows you what is planned for your CSA share next week based on your preferences. If you haven't set preferences yet, be sure you do so before the next delivery so our algorithm can fill your box with the items you love! You can further customize your share this weekend if you want to swap anything in or out, or add any extras to your box. Just click on the link in this email to go to your customization page.
Pickup instructions: Your customized share will be delivered to your pickup location in a wax box with a plastic liner. Most of our pickup locations are self-serve. Please find the box with your name and order and remove the paper from the plastic sleeve. Then remove your share with the plastic liner to take home and GENTLY fold the box flat so it can be stored and reused. I will be sending out a copy of the welcome email along with location-specific instructions before the first pickup.
Support emails: I will be unavailable Saturday and Sunday of this week and will not be checking my email. I will check for messages throughout the day on Friday until 7pm and again Monday morning before the customization period ends at 8 a.m. Harvie staff has been alerted that they should help with support requests as much as they can this weekend, so feel free to use the support button at the bottom of the screen if you need help with customization.
Webstore: Our Webstore hasn't yet been integrated into Harvie (they are working hard to finalize our inventory management), so head over to our Website to order items that aren't listed in Harvie. Over there we have cheeses, milk, maple products, meats, soaps, and more. Hazy Hollow Farm has just added a fresh batch of pork to the store, including bacon, pork chops, and sausage. Plus they have hams for your Easter dinner, raised on pasture supplemented with non-GMO local grains. We also have lots of beef cuts and chicken pieces from Moose Farm.
The featured photo at the top of the email comes from Spur Hollow Farm, a new farm that just joined NWPA Growers. Jeff and Lindsay are a young couple using no-till methods on their country homestead. They transplanted sugar snap peas from the greenhouse into their garden beds this week, so look forward to delicious peas in May or June.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or to Harvie support if you have questions about your NWPA Growers Farm Share.
