Sweet corn is back this week! We have just 25 dozen available, but listed as single ears so you can customize how many you want in your share. Only a few are being put into preliminary shares so you will have plenty to add to your shares as swaps or extras. Be sure to customize your share so you don't end up with one ear if there is more than one person in your home!
As I type this newsletter, I am on vacation in Maine. It's a rainy day, so we are staying dry inside enjoying the beautiful lake view from the house we are staying in. I know that there were some issues with share mix-ups and incorrect veggies, and we apologize for that. My daughter Gwen (our driver) and I are the usual box checkers making sure the correct items are in the boxes, so without us our farmers were a bit challenged getting everything right. I'm thankful that most of you received your boxes with relatively few errors while my family had a chance to get away for the week. Kudos to the farmers who stepped up to take our places (at least most of the way).
If you had an error with your share from 9/1 or 9/2 that you would like a credit for, please email me.
Upcoming schedule changes
- Shares will be finalized on Mondays on the following dates: 9/6, 9/20, and 9/27. I usually finalize them on Tuesdays, which triggers credit card payments and the email that says "Your Share is on its way!" Because I will be off on Tuesday those weeks, payments will be processed on Monday, so if you use a debit card to pay for your share, please make sure you have enough in the account a day early to prevent the payment from being rejected.
- I will be off 9/16, and our substitute driver will deliver that day as well. I will be working on 9/15, so that week's deliveries should go more smoothly than this week's.
