I have a short and sweet newsletter for you this week. Read on to find out why.
But first a little bit of news. We have an updated website at www.nwpagrowers.com. I've been steadily working on building a new site for several weeks, and it finally went live early this week. Check it out when you have the chance.
You may have noticed that we have added referral credits. When you tell your friends about NWPA Growers and they sign up for a share, you both receive a $10.00 credit! They can still sign up for the remainder of this season, or we're working on getting our Winter CSA ready for sign-ups.
New products this week:
- Spaghetti squash from Detweiler Farm
- Acorn squash from Detweiler Farm
- Yukon gold potatoes from Detweiler Farm
- Inferno peppers and Swiss chard are back, too.
Did you try the kombucha from Forever Green Farm yet? We have three flavors to choose from.
Full Moon Mushrooms is offering Salsa/Hummus Shares this week. When you order a share, you receive three different flavors of salsa and one flavor of hummus. This month's flavors include Honeycrisp Apple Salsa, Maple Chipotle Salsa, Pumpkin Hummus, and one other salsa flavor TBA.
Farm news from Bushel and a Peck Farm:
I'm typing this at almost 11 PM Thursday night, after starting work at 6:30 AM. We have had a busy week on our farm, and next week promises to be just as hectic. This weekend we will have a booth at Applefest in Franklin (near the bandstand if you go), so we have been prepping for the event, bottling extra syrup and such. Plus our annual seasonal store at Grove City Outlets is scheduled to open October 7, so we are busy getting that set up. And on top of that, we had several cows get out of their fence at our second farm, so we have spent a large part of 4 days searching for them and luring them back into the pasture. We finally got them in today. That's the news from our farm this week...with no photos because I've been too busy to think about pics. And now to bed so I can leave for Applefest early in the morning, right after I send out CSA emails.
Have a great weekend, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather!
On behalf of your NWPA Growers farmers,
Amy Philson
