We are very close to launching Sumer CSA sign-ups. Auto-renew is scheduled to take place later next week, and you will have a few days to make changes to your share. We're really excited about the changes we're making for this summer. All shares will move to Full-Grocery Shares, meaning that you could see products from any of the farm categories in your share, not just produce. Of course, you will be able to set your preferences so you don't see meat, maple syrup, etc., if that's your style.
Summer CSA prices are going up, but that simply means that you will see more products in your share! Since we are offering lots more products, you will need a larger box. We hope you will rely on NWPA Growers for more of your family's groceries.
We are also planning to add even more local products to our offerings. Stay tuned for updates!
This Week's Shares
Since we're in the dead of winter, our fresh veggie supply is getting more limited. Therefore, for the next few deliveries you will see more of the Full Grocery line in your share build. And we have added all products as swaps rather than keeping non-member farm products only as extras. What this means for you is that you can swap any and all items into your share without having to pay extra for certain items. This is a preview of what you will see in the summer.
Please give us feedback about this change. If a lot of you prefer this, we will keep it through spring.
Wild For Salmon: We just received a new shipment of fish from Wild for Salmon, so we have all of your fish favorites back in stock!
Pork Chops! Mickley Organic Farm found some pork chops hidden in their freezer, so those were added to the store this week.

Growers Meeting
We held our annual NWPA Growers Meeting this week. With some farmers being sick or exposed to COVID, we had a few farmers at the meeting, while the rest of us joined via Zoom. We talked about goals and changes for NWPA Growers for 2022. We welcomed two new farms to our cooperative, and we are adding new pickup locations to our Thursday route. We also voted on board members whose terms are expiring, electing a new farmer to our board of directors. And finally, we announced that Jeff Stirland from Spur Hollow Farm will be taking over deliveries by summer. Since our driver Gwen moved on to new adventures this month, I am temporarily making deliveries. But that can't continue into the summer, and Jeff is the perfect fit for the job.
Stay warm out there! Our farmers are having a difficult time keeping our livestock warm and watered right now. We're looking for a little more mild weather in February.
On behalf of your NWPA Growers farmers,
Amy Philson
