Fall is in the air! Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the fall colors, the trees changing color, cozy sweaters, hot soup, and baking with apple and pumpkin. This is one of the busiest times on our farm with fall hay, planting cover crops, butchering chickens, fall festivals, setting up our seasonal store at Grove City Outlets, and other activities in our schedules, but we try to carve out time to enjoy the season, even if it's just a few minutes.
This week's features:
- Acorn Squash: our first squash of the season from Detweiler Farm
- Shiitake Mushrooms from Raber Farm
- Sweet Corn from Detweiler Farm
- Lettuce mixes from Glacial Till Farm and Spur Hollow Farm
- Red Potatoes from Detweiler Farm
- Watermelons from Detweiler Farm
- And lots more!
Moose Family Farm is on vacation this week, but we still have limited quantities of ground beef, ground beef patties, and whole chickens available.

Spur Hollow Farm:
Bushel & a Peck Farm:
We're planting fall broccoli seedlings from flats this week. Our chickens are ready to butcher, so we will have a busy week prepping them for our freezer.
Upcoming Schedule Changes
Share customization will end early on 9/25, 10/9, and 10/16. I will be off work those Mondays, so I need to report sales to our farmers on Sunday rather than Monday. Shares will also be finalized on those Sundays rather than on Tuesday, so if your default payment form is a debit card please make sure you have enough funds in your account two days earlier than normal.
From our farms to your table,
Amy and all of the NWPA Growers
