Winter CSA sign-ups are live!!! We are a bit late getting things ready, mostly because my fall schedule has been so crazy. As usual, our delivery area shrinks considerably for the winter because we don't have enough produce in the winter to support everyone. Winter CSA will be available in Butler, Franklin, Grove City, Hermitage, Meadville, and Slippery Rock as long as we have enough members in each location to warrant drop-off. We will assess each location in late November to determine whether there are enough people signed up, so sign up right away. If delivery to any location is canceled, downpayments will be refunded.
Please note that we will NOT auto-renew anyone this season, so if you have auto-renew set on your account you will still need to sign up for Winter CSA.
Winter CSA is a pay-by-week season, so you will only pay for your first delivery at sign-up. If you were on the 25%/25%/50% payment plan for the Summer season and you have any held shares that you need to reschedule for the final weeks, please email me directly for help in rescheduling. Harvie Support hasn't been timely in replying lately, so a direct email to me will usually receive a reply within a day.
This Week's Features
- Shiitake Mushrooms from Raber Farm. If they are sold out on Friday morning, check back again because we may add more bags if the baby mushrooms grow enough.
- Lots of cheese from both Middlefield and Pasture Maid
- This is probably the last hurrah for spaghetti squash this season.
- Greens include old stand-bys like Premium Salad Mix and Bibb Lettuce and also some new items like Black-Seeded Simpson, Red-Stem Mizuna, and a Mild Greens Mix.
- NEW PRODUCT: Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Butter is a limited-edition nut butter from Georgia Grinders. It has been ordered and should arrive before deliveries this week. It's sugar-free, so it fits in Keto diets!

It looks like another great fall weekend is on tap. Your farmers will be busy continuing to winterize our farms and put storage crops away.
