The dry days of May and June seem far away. We've had about 6 inches of rain in the past two weeks. And it looks like there is lots more on the way this week. What a contrast.
While this can make preparing beds for seeding and planting a bit challenging, it certainly helps those seeds and plants get off to a good start!
In between lots of seeding and planting, we are also starting to harvest the garlic. We haven't grow garlic in a few years, so it will be great to have it back. The greenhouse is almost set up for drying and curing the garlic. It will hang in racks for a few weeks to thoroughly dry and then we'll clean it. The greenhouse has a shade cloth, to keep things from getting too hot and sun burned. Once we start harvest onions in August, they will also be cured in the greenhouse.
What are you favourite ways to use garlic?
