Time for summer coleslaw! We've got cabbage and it's looking great. The first few summer squash may also be making an appearance in shares shortly. And, while the heat and sun forecast for this week may not be so fun for us to be planting (and for the little transplants), the tomatoes and peppers are loving it. Frieda found the first, almost ripe, cherry tomato last week while we were pruning and trellising them. And the pepper plants have some impressively large peppers already.
The July round of planting and seeding is almost done -- left to do this week is 2 beds of napa cabbage, a couple beds of late carrots and another round of radicchio and leek.Whew. There is a brief reprieve before the August round gets rolling.
Can you spot the blue heron in the picture?
