Two inches of rain! That's how much we got last week. Wow. How lovely and the gardening is flourishing!
We have heaps of snap and snow peas, plus cauliflower! Get'em while you can!
And we are planting more for fall. Round two of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower planting happens this week. Along with more carrots and radicchio with leek.
We've gotten the hang of the time lapse function on our camera. You can see us in action on instagram -- planting, covering and packing veg. Maybe we'll do a few more videos this week!
And we spotted our first monarch caterpillars in the garden this week. We always make space for some milkweed in the garden and the monarchs find them. We will have lots of swamp milkweed plants, and a lovely assortment of other native flowers, available for sale for fall planting in September. A new project on the farm and one we are very excited about! Stay tuned.
