Week 8-- Full Season Farmshare-- River Run Farm

Posted on August 23rd, 2024 by Anna Bunk

Fabulous Farmshare!

Week 8 is here. The seasons go by so quickly and we can really feel it's shifted now. The cool mornings, the fall-like quality of the sunlight, the dew and humidity.

But, according to the forecast, warmer weather returns this coming week and we can finish out August with some more great photosynthesis and heat units (required to ripen crops).

This week I've interviewed Josephina as our Essential Crew Member of the Week! I'll provide translation from Spanish. Let's meet her!

Questionnaire:

1. Name: "Josephina Vargas Luna".

2. Where are you from? How did that place shape you?: "Soy de Guanajuato México, el lugar me parece hermoso." (I am from Guanajuato Mexico, I think that the place is beautiful).

3. What was your first impression of Sequim? "Mi primer impresión de Sequim fue su tranquilidad." (My first impression of Sequim was of it's peacefulness/tranquility).

5. Favorite vegetable crop at River Run? "Cultivo favorito atados."  (My favorite crops are the crops bunched at harvest).

6. Favorite number and why? "Mi número favorito es el 3 , por qué son los hijos que tengo.". (My favorite number is 3, because that's how many children I have).
