Greetings Farmshare members!
Here we are already halfway through September. We’re in full harvest swing now; pallet loads of vegetables are being harvested out of the fields daily. All the baby transplants have been planted, the fall and winter carrots and beet seeds are in the ground, the alliums all harvested and cured or curing in the greenhouse. The nights are getting cooler and those autumnal wet and cool mornings are upon us. I love this time of year, when the early morning light glistens on the hundred of spiderwebs in the tall grass. It is a time when we naturally find ourselves feeling a little more inward and we look for more time to spend relaxing and reflecting on the summer. It is the challenge on the farm to find that time during one of the busiest times of year.
We wish you a happy week 11! We hope you enjoy these late summer goodies!
