Hello Farm Family!
We have reached the Autumn Equinox, where the day length is equal between day and night. For us, along the Salish Sea, many hours of dew set on the fields and take a considerable time to evaporate off. It certainly feels like fall now!
Since irrigation has been turned off since mid-September, the recent rains we've received and those long dewey nights I mentioned contribute much to the health of our crops. We are so grateful.
And this is a great time of year for a diversity of crops to harvest. It's hard to fit all the different selections on our pack tables the mornings we pack your Farmshare boxes.
