Abundance Collectors,
We are very proud to be bringing such a diversity of crops in from the fields in these early weeks of October. The colors abound!
I was especially stoked, personally, to have fennel again. Roasted fennel is one of my favorite dishes.
Speaking of "colors abound", although I was talking about the beets, golden beets, rainbow chard, shallots, etc.: Did you see the Aurora Borealis last night?! I'm amazed by this place we live and generally the magic just behind the veil for us to just search a little bit for.. and find!
This week's Crew Interview is with Co-Owner Noah Bresler himself!
Let's dive in:
1. Where are you from? How did that place shape you? "Northern California…seeded in me a love of plants- always playing as a boy in the rolling oaks hills and the rich redwood forests."
2. What was your first impression of Sequim? "Oh boy…its too bad they build so many houses on all this beautiful farmland."
3. What drew you to farming? "The opportunity to make a living while working with plants!"
4 .Favorite vegetable crop at River Run? "Carrots".
5. Favorite number? And why? "2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and 8."
6. Do you have a super power? What is it? "Yes. Thinking everything is likely."
7. Please share a life lesson learned. "Always try to give other people the benefit of the doubt."
Thanks for those Noah! Interesting! Love you, man!
Alright that's it folks! Go ahead and select veggies to your hearts' desires!
