The heat has brought on some new crops- eggplant, green peppers, and summer squash are all sizing up now and they'll make an appearance in your CSA boxes this week. These are all great vegetables for the grill, so it'll be nice to cook outside during this heat wave.
We installed a pump on our new well just in time to plant 20 beds of fall carrots in our new fields across route 5 this week. We bought this land four years ago and we've been transitioning it for organic production with cover crops for all four years. This will be our first vegetable crop in these fields and we're really excited to see how they do.
