Tips and Tricks
3 Ways to cook Winter Squash:
-Roast it in the oven: Nice for making mashed squash or purees. Takes the longest time to cook, but you don't have to peel it!
-Steam it: For adding cubes to a dish (ex: salads or risotto)
-Cook it directly in a pot: Great for soups!
Did you know? You can substitute most winter squash. A lot of recipes call for Butternut, but if you don't have it, you can easily use Honeynut or Kabocha. It might even be tastier!
