November farm work is usually not for the faint of heart as we can be dealing with snow, ice, and sideways slushy rain, so the recent warm weather was such a gift as we worked through our clean up checklist wrapping up our outdoor work for the season. It was amazing to have warm hands, wear t-shirts, and soak up some golden rays of vitamin D while we worked. The unexpected sunshine gave us a burst of energy to clean out our tool shed and greenhouses, getting these spaces reset after a busy growing season, setting up organization systems, and taking inventory of supplies so we're ready for spring. We tore out all the pepper plants and took down the plastic on the tunnels so we're ready for snow. We even turned the compost piles, fixed an irrigation main line, and caught up on some tractor maintenance.
This crew has worked tirelessly all season long. They've remained steady and strong through the many challenges thrown our way, so we're very grateful to wrap up our field work together on this positive note.
