Have you checked the weather? There's more rain in the forecast! Oregon really, really needs it this year, so we're delighted to finally see cooler temperatures and water falling from the sky, even in the high desert.
We've got the makings of a great soup for you this week, with a lot of options to spin it however you want. Most importantly, we're equipping you with both potatoes and leeks if you'll have them, as potato leek soup is our fall favorite. So easy, so creamy, no way to go wrong. Our leek crop is our best ever, these guys are monsters! For flavor, we've also got plenty of celery, parsley, sage and fennel available. Other cozy ingredient options include sweet salad turnips, gorgeous broccoli, lacinato kale and SPINACH! It's back! We're so happy to finally have this cool weather loving vegetable back on the farm. We carefully tended to it through all of August to get it to you now, and we're happy to say it looks luscious. We've also got some lettuce mix for you in case you need something crisp on your plate.
