This week we've got some extra special fall greens for you to choose from. We've got our classic Mesclun Salad Mix + Red Butter Lettuce available, as well as Baby Bok Choy and Baby Kale Mix. Baby kale mix is my favorite for a hearty salad, I love it especially in a Kale Caesar. Baby kale almost completely removes the prepwork and makes for a quick and easy side or meal.
Baby bok choy is my all time favorite cool season green. No other green is so juicy when cooked and I love the crunch it brings to any meal. I love to make it as a simple side or use it in a stir fry or in a soul soothing homemade Ramen.
We've also got the last of our summer eggplant and tomatoes available this week. As I write this on Saturday, I'm looking towards a very possible freeze over the weekend that we're hoping won't freeze our hoophouse crops, but it is definitely in the realm of possibility that they could come to an abrupt halt. We made sure to bring all the ripening tomatoes and eggplant into safety to make sure that we'll have them for you this week.
In addition it's potato leek soup week, finally! Potato Leek Soup is my all time favorite quick weekday meal when I didn't plan ahead. It is always so cozy and satisfying, and can literally be ready in about 30 minutes.
To top it all off, we have everyone's favorite root-- garlic, available this week.
