Have you ever bit into something and it wasn't how you hoped it to be? My grandson took a great big bite into a radish and said "Ewwww ick! Too spicy!" And then he promptly spit it out. If you ask me, the radishes aren't spicy at all. But considering his dad (my son) starts sweating profusely at just the smell of salsa at the mexican restaurant, so maybe the radishes really are spicy for Zeb.
Zeb's favorite vegetable is zucchini. He'll eat them raw if given the chance, which is not my preference. Isn't that what makes life interesting? Everyone is different, and so are their preferences.
That's what's so exciting about doing our CSA shares through Harvie this year. Instead of everyone getting the same thing in their box, everyone can pick out what they want! Love zucchini, but hate radishes? No problem! On a salad kick and only want lettuce? We've got you covered! It'll be interesting to see what people's preferences are as we fill the boxes this year.
We've been very busy out in the garden and we couldn't ask for a better crew! We're ahead on crops like the zucchini (yay for a hoop house) and the cucumbers are just starting to come off. But we're behind on... well... let's just say I'm trying not to panic too much. I panic every year at this time, and every year it works out just fine. But I better not hear that any of you are bored, because we can change that for you real quick!
We look forward to seeing you this season, and we're so thankful you're trusting us for your produce needs!
