The fall weather (finally) makes for a much more relaxing time moving sheep. The animals are calmer and less stressed than when it’s hot out. Today we had to sort out the ram lambs to prevent unwanted breeding, pull out a group for sale, and check over the ewes as we moved them all to new pasture. Pictures is the tall cover crop where the ram lambs are going for finishing. Anyways, sorry for the delay in customization this week!
As far as produce goes- we have plenty of potatoes, onions, winter squash along with the fresh fall veg and apples. Don’t miss out on the tasty fall bok choy and komatsuna greens this week. Also, keep an eye out for info soon regarding the new system we are switching to for next year’s customizable shares. Harvie is going to cease to exist so we are moving onto a new program that we are hopeful will be even better for you and us.

Wild Coyote Farm is a Certified Organic small family farm in beautiful Southwest Michigan, dedicated to organic, regenerative, and sustainable growing practices to produce delicious and nutritious produce and eggs. No synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, or anything harmful to any part of the precious land and environment we steward. We grow everything in soil (no hydroponics) and focus on soil health to grow the most nutritious produce. The animals we raise (chickens and sheep) rotate as part of our soil health plan, are pastured and humanely cared for.
