The fall weather (finally) makes for a much more relaxing time moving sheep. The animals are calmer and less stressed than when it’s hot out. Fall Crops
I was hoping to have sweet corn for all of you this week, but it appears as though the drought destroyed the final crop. There are definitely things that are thankful for the dry weather. It has been great for squash and potatoes this season, it makes harvest easy and storage on squash much better.1 read more »
Summer & Honeycrisp
Summer never ends! It’s hotter and drier now than it’s been all summer long. This is definitely making growing fall produce more of a challenge. With the warm weather we are wishing that we had more plantings of summer produce like melons and tomatoes, but alas, we are not future teller1 read more »
Squash
If you eat winter squash in the summer, is it still winter squash? I suppose so eh? By the way we are bring winter squash in and we will be getting out to to you all over the following weeks.
