This week we have dry goods in reusable containers! These containers are from Friendlier company. They work the same way as our new greens containers: You scan the code on the back of the container when you are done with the Friendlier app on your phone (or you can enter them on the website too). Then when you return the container you will get a deposit back in your account. Please leave the containers out when you are done with them and we will pick them up and make sure they get back to the right place.
This week on the farm we welcome Jasmine who is starting with us full time this season on the farm! We also started working Mondays which is a sign that spring is around the corner and there's more to do on the farm. This week we are continuing to plan new lettuce in the greenhouse and we start our main season onions in trays. We are turning over our unheated hoophouses to allow us to get a quick crop of greens in before they will be used for early summer crops.
From Pfenning's this week we have carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, mushrooms, lemons, oranges, and ginger available. We also still have lots of local sweet potatoes available.
