Only 3 weeks left in our 2022 CSA season! One thing you will notice is that the mix of vegetables available from the farm is changing and although we've passed our peak variety season (which is surprisingly October and November!) we still have a lot of great stuff here on the farm. Farm Happenings for December 1, 2022
Lots of variety available from Common Ground Farm this week: leeks, spinach, cabbage, napa, kale, collards, carrots, parsnips, beets, winter radish, rutabaga, and celeriac in abundance! From the greenhouse we have tender swiss chard as well as a small amount of dill and cilantro.

On the farm this week we turned over the final greenhouse beds (on the right) in preparation for the last succession of winter lettuce. We have been having a lot of fun with our carrot harvester this last week. We have a bit of an issue though: this planting of carrots in the picture is better than we've had in years! The carrots are sweet and crisp and the rows are absolutely full. So we are running out of1 read more »

The season turnover continues here. We feel ahead on our bulk harvest of storage crops so we've continued replacing the hot weather crops in our hoophouses with things that will provide throughout the winter like this labouriously transplanted spinach!
