This week on the farm we will be beginning our greenhouse transformation. The first of our extra early tomatoes will be in by the end of the week! We have a bit of extra help this week with it being March break and Julian and Raine will be pitching in with greenhouse and hoophouse turnover. A few things of note for this week:
- A new type of fresh pressed oil from "Mat's fine Oils" in Springfield, ON is sunflower oil. This is organic freshly pressed oil from sunflowers Mat grows on his farm. It is a really amazing flavour and great for use straight on salads. Please return the bottles for a $1.50 refund!
- From Pfennings this week we have Broccoli and Broccolini as well as a selection of citrus fruit, celery and sweet peppers
- Even though we are at our lowest availability for greens, we have spinach this week! And in 2 weeks we will be harvesting a brand new crop of lettuce from the greenhouse so we hope to have salad mix in abundance for everyone!
- We continue to add to our list of dry goods you can add and swap in your shares so check them out!
We continue our signup for the main season and although our shares in May are full, we have plenty of space for June onward. If you know someone who would be interested in securing a spot for our amazing main season shares, please send them here!
