Hello and Happy Independence Day!
I hope yall are celebrating in your favorite ways.
The farm continues to transform by leaps and bounds each week. Last week we planted the last of the summer crops and the first of the fall crops. Our fields are starting to get full but some of the earliest ones are on their way out - already ready to transition to soil building cover crops. This week, our big task is to stay on top of the weeds. It feels like every time we turn around they bounce back.
Featured item: our summer cabbage has finally arrived. I'm looking forward to fresh summer cabbage slaws to go alongside some grilled, organic, grassfed beef. :)
