Hey all,
Wowee we are grateful for a good rain to kick off autumn. The farm has been parched all summer. The pastures, cover crop, and bare ground field crops are all happy with the 2+" of rain.
Last Friday we had one of our signature events: Harvest Fest. A record number of students came out from campus to enjoy a beautiful evening on the farm. There was apple cider, farm french fries, line dancing, a big bon fire, and a beautiful sunset. It was a nice reminder of the very unique feature of our farm: our association with such a lively, intelligent group of young folks. We are grateful for the student workers, volunteers, and classes that come out and offer use diverse perspectives of the land we see every day.

Todays share tells the tale of the seasons we straddle. Fall crops beginning to shine as summer crops continue to gently wane. Please enjoy the bounty and don't hesitate to reach out to me with any issues.
Best,
Alex
