Hey all,
The fall colors are in full glory here on the farm and frosty mornings have begun. This is a spectacular time to eat locally though! Our greens are at their peak, and the storage crops are fresh and full of flavor ready for your kitchen.
Today, with a chance of widespread frost tonight, we will harvest the last few tomatoes and peppers of the year. After that we will detrellis each and begin to get that ground converted to cover crops for the fall.
I'm currently laid up in the farmhouse with some sort of bug (thanks daycare). But, my wonderful wife made the best, and easiest magic potion: Roasted butternut squash pureed into DCF bone broth with some DCF chili flakes, DCF garlic, and coconut cream. Delicious, nourishing, and I believe it is perfect for seasonal sniffles. It's even great if you aren't sick!
Enjoy the veggies!
